Funny Girl

so, I've been scolded for letting by blogging go on the back burner, so I am going to give you a brief look into some of the funny stuff Riley has said this summer:

Funny Girl #1- on the way to first day of soccer, "Mom, I don't think I wanna play soccer because the net looks like spider webs. I think I wanna play baseball instead- there's no spiders in baseball..."

Funny Girl #2- tonight after coming out of her bedroom for the 4th or 5th time...."Mom, I can't go to sleep because my heart really hurts.....it hurts because it just wants to keep playing...."

Funny Girl #3- you may not know that I've got Riley convinced that we bought her and Karsyn at Walmart.....and you may not know that I kinda wanna have one more baby. So the other day, Riley informed me that she really wants us to go buy TWO little tiny babies....not one, but two......like Chanel.....(I don't know if that's funny or smart!) :) don't tell John......

Funny Girl #4/ FUNNIER mom- Riley- "mom....when am I gonna have a baby in my tummy?" Funny mom- "NEVER!!"

Is anyone else worried about Riley giving my a run for my money? I'm already tired just thinking about the next 15 years!!

Pizza

Easter

Love Easter!! Love church as a family, love brunch as a family, love dying eggs, love easter baskets in the morning, LOVE the first annual Easter egg hunt.

Ranch

Everybody LOVES a little bit of ranch.....right?

Colorado

You'd think that I'd get used to it after having spent 2/3 of my life in Colorado. Spring blizzards, that is. Last week we were lovin the 70s, today (March 26), we're sledding in mid-calf deep snow in the backyard!! Gotta love it!





When all was said and done......17 inches!

Cinderella

So I think I need lessons on how to take Riley to something that takes longer than 5 minutes. We went to the high school musical of Cinderella with Cassie, Abby and Maddie. The girls wore their best princess gear. Riley was amazed for exactly 5 minutes, then she proceeded to whisper-yell to me that she "was really getting sick of this" and "would rather go sit in the car and eat cheetos!"

I had to force her to put her dress back on at the end of the play for pictures, and as you can see, she would not go near Cinderella, but had no angst about posing with the evil stepmother and stepsisters! hhhhmmmmmm.......

and I do a little dance on the catwalk....
